The sons of Guns N’ Roses‘ Slash, Stone Temple Pilots‘ Scott Weiland, and Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo have released their second single under their newly-formed Suspect208 moniker, “All Black”.
Slash’s son, 18-year old London Hudson, along with Tye Trujillo, Noah Weiland, and Niko Tsangaris recently formed Suspect208 and released their debut single, “Long Awaited”. The latest Suspect208 track, “All Black”, comes along with the group’s first official music video directed by Sage Flores/Sunburst Films.
“All Black” features a notably more pop-punk-leaning sound than the heavier “Long Awaited”, but the video inserts the devil-may-care rocker attitude into the proceedings. Amid shots of the band performing onstage at Hollywood, CA’s The Viper Room, we see the young musicians causing a ruckus around L.A. in a blaze of chaos that would make their famous fathers proud.
The band members aren’t relying on their last names for success, either. Though the oldest member, Weiland, is only 20 years old—with the youngest being Trujillo at 15—three of them have an impressive track record for being such young rockers. Three years ago, at the age of 12, Trujillo filled in for Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu during a tour of South America.
Additionally, Hudson and the only member without a famous rock star father, Tsangaris, have spent the last four years in a band together, Classless Act, which opened for Slash at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA back in 2019. Weiland, who doesn’t have as lengthy a resume on paper, proves his vocal abilities on the new material, which takes clear inspiration from later-era Stone Temple Pilots albums.
