Jason Crosby teamed with ALO members Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), Steve Adams and Ezra Lipp for A Charlie Brown Christmas. The livestreamed concert, which benefits Backline, recently premiered via nugs.net and is available for on-demand viewing through Friday, December 25.
Crosby, Lebo, Adams and Lipp presented their own spin on Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack including such classics as “Christmas Is Coming,” “The Christmas Song” and “Linus & Lucy.” Jason and the members of ALO also performed Billy Joel’s “Root Beer Rag” and other surprises.
“I am thrilled to release this performance of one of my favorite records of all time, with some of my favorite Bay Area musicians while celebrating and supporting the great work being done by my friends at Backline,” said Crosby, who has toured with Jackson Browne, Jenny Lewis and Phil Lesh. Backline is a non-profit organization that helps those in the music industry by providing mental health support, a service needed now more than ever due to the effects of the pandemic.
