Organizers for Monreal’s Osheaga Music and Arts Festival are planning the event’s return next summer, even while the rest of the live music industry remains on pause for the foreseeable future with COVID-19 continuing to spread throughout much of North America.
Announced on Monday morning, the three-day pop festival scheduled to take place on July 31st—August 2nd, 2021 at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène in Montreal, QC, and will feature headlining performances from Foo Fighters, Cardi B, and Post Malone. No other artists were confirmed for the 2021 event, as organizers are likely waiting to make sure the festival will happen as the world waits for the pending arrival of multiple COVID-19 vaccines by early 2021.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Osheaga was initially scheduled to return for its 15th year this past summer with performances from Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Vampire Weekend, Leon Bridges, The Struts, Brittany Howard, Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Of Monsters And Men, Caribou, and more.
