The String Cheese Incident Announces New Year’s Eve ‘Evolution’ Film & 2016 Concert Livestream

80

The String Cheese Incident will present a 20th-anniversary screening of their New Year’s Eve concert film, Evolution, and their December 31, 2016 show as part of a special New Year’s Eve livestream event. The band will sync the broadcast so that the 2016 show’s midnight balloon drop happens at 12 p.m. midnight MT.

SCI’s “Friday Night Cheese” series on nugs.tv will move one day early to fit with New Year’s Eve on Thursday, December 31. Hosted by the band’s percussionist Jason Hann, the “New Year’s Cheese” online programming begins at 8 p.m. with Evolution, which was recorded at The String Cheese Incident’s 2000/2001 New Year’s run in Portland, Oregon. Beginning approximately two hours later will be SCI’s three-set show on December 31, 2016 at 1STBANKCenter in Broomfield, Colorado, where the band has rung in the new year six of their last seven NYE runs.

“We love seeing friends and family gather with us in CO to ring in the New Year, and even though we can’t be there with you in person this year, we are REALLY looking forward to saying goodbye to 2020 and welcoming 2021, when we can hopefully get back to playing live Incidents again!,” the band stated.

The String Cheese Incident’s “New Year’s Cheese” livestream will be available via nugs.tv, YouTube and JamBase Livestreams Calendar.
