Bill Callahan and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s version of “Rooftop Garden” follows previous covers from Yusuf/Cat Stevens, Steely Dan, Billie Eilish, Jerry Jeff Walker, Little Feat and more. “Rooftop Garden” is the closing track on Lou Reed’s 1983 album, Legendary Hearts. For their cover of the song, Callahan and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy welcomed Cretan lute player George Xylouris.
