John Mayer was one of the many artists who took part in Martin Guitar‘s Jam In Place webcast as part of this year’s NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) virtual convention. For his performance aired via webcast this past Friday, the Dead & Company guitarist treated viewers to a four-song acoustic performance on his own Martin guitar from the comfort of his home rehearsal space.
Mayer’s 15-minute solo set saw the veteran musician explore a mix of originals from his solo catalog beginning with “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” from 2006’s Continuum, followed by “Dear Marie” from 2013’s Paradise Valley, and “Who Says” then “Edge of Desire” from 2009’s Battle Studies to close things out.
