moe. Cancels snoe.down 2021 & Details Refund Situation

98

moe. officially canceled snoe.down 2021, a three-day event that was slated to take place at 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco, Colorado March 19 – 21. The band also addressed refunds in a statement claiming moe. “never received any funds from 10 Mile Music Hall, the event’s promoter, and they have not offered to fund the refunds for tickets.”

snoe.down was originally scheduled for March 20 – 22, 2020 at 10 Mile Music Hall. The quintet postponed the festival to 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. snoe.down was last held in 2013 and the canceled edition was to be the band’s first installment of the event held outside of the Northeast.

10 Mile Music Hall operators posted a note on the venue’s website last summer apologizing for the lack of refunds. “We screwed up. We are an independent venue, under-staffed and inexperienced with this type of situation and we have done a lousy job of managing the disaster. We are sorry and we hope you can forgive us,” reads a part of the statement. The venue’s team promised to “deliver these shows or refund your ticket fees just as soon as we can.” An update from earlier this month stated operators will provide “full ticket refunds and pay down some of the growing debt that we’ve incurred during the Covid closure” once funds from the Save Our Stages Act are distributed to them.

moe. are offering full refunds to those who bought snoe.down tickets directly from the band via its Music Today pre-sale. Additionally, moe. will provide a 35% refund to all original ticket holders who purchased a ticket to the event through the venue’s ticketing provider, Eventbrite.

December 2019 was a time of great excitement for us. We were looking ahead to 2020 and what was to be our time to celebrate 30 years of moe. There were tours scheduled, albums to be released and the Rocky Mountain debut of our beloved snoe.down. As we all know, 2020 did not turn out to be the year any of us expected.

In order to keep our famoe.ly, fans, and crew safe, we made the heartbreaking call to end our Winter West Coast Tour – with one week left to go on the road – right as talk of a national lockdown began. Not knowing what to expect, we spoke with the folks at 10 Mile Music Hall about rescheduling the Frisco, CO based snoe.down to 2021. With the pandemic ongoing, and continuing first and foremost with your safety in mind, we regret to announce that snoe.down will be cancelled in full.

For those of you who have been looking for answers on any previously requested refunds, we are frustrated as well. We never received any funds from 10 Mile Music Hall, the event’s promoter, and they have not offered to fund the refunds for tickets. But we have been able to do the following:

• Those original ticket holders who purchased their ticket via the artist pre sale with Tickets Today will be issued a 100% refund. These refunds will be automatically made to the original point of purchase and you should expect an email from Ticket Today’s parent company, Ticketmaster.

• For the other ticket buyers, the moe. organization has gathered enough money to offer a 35% refund to all original ticket holders who purchased a ticket to snoe.down via Eventbrite. An email will be sent to those purchasers with directions on how to receive your partial refund.

We know you are all frustrated and for those of you receiving a partial refund, anything less than 100% is unacceptable. We are so very sorry about this situation when we know that everyone is under stress – financially, emotionally, physically. Please accept our deepest apologies for this unintended hardship. We are doing our best to secure funds from 10 Mile Music Hall that will allow us to fund the balance of the refund.

We cannot wait to be with you again live, hitting the slopes somewhere soon, and enjoying our time together. It means the world to us.
