On August 10, 2018 Pearl Jam played the second of two concerts at Safeco Field in Seattle dubbed “The Home Shows.” Pearl Jam will premiere video of the entire performance via nugs.net on February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The livestream archival broadcast will be available to order for on-demand viewing until February 16 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Pearl Jam previously teamed with nugs.net to broadcast the first show of the run, which took place on August 8, 2018. The upcoming broadcast will feature never-before-seen full-color footage of Pearl Jam’s entire 37-song performance. Multiple HD cameras were used to capture the band in action by touring video director Blue Leach. Pearl Jam archivist Kevin Shuss edited the footage while PJ producer Josh Evans mixed the audio in stereo and 5.1 digital surround sound.
The rockers’ hometown show on August 10, 2018 featured a slew of rarities including “Rats,” “I’m Open,” “Thin Air” and “All Or None.” Pearl Jam also paid tribute to late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell by debuting a cover of “Missing” from Cornell’s Poncier EP. Additionally, the band was joined by a few guests. Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil added to a cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams” and returned later along with Mudhoney’s Steve Turner and Mark Arm for takes on Iggy & The Stooges’ “Search & Destroy” and Dead Boys’ “Sonic Reducer.”
