[1/14/21]: The 34th edition of the annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert will go completely virtual this year, organizers for the long-running musical fundraiser announced on Thursday.
The one-night all-star music event which typically takes place at Carnegie Hall in New York City will look to raise money to preserve Tibetan culture this year with exclusive live and pre-recorded virtual performances as curated by artistic director Philip Glass from Eddie Vedder, Phoebe Bridgers, Brittany Howard, Valerie June, Angélique Kidjo, Laurie Anderson, and more, along with a special video message from the 14th Dalai Lama.
The ticketed webcast–which ranges from $25 up to $250–will air exclusively via Mandolin on Wednesday, February 17th. Mandolin, the new tech-focused livestreamer, is also a creative and fundraising partner in the event, involved end-to-end from artist booking to managing the full-scale production.
