Trey Anastasio released pro-shot video featuring the live debut of “If I Could See The World” from his “The Beacon Jams” livestream series. The Phish guitarist performed the song with Trey Anastasio Band members bassist Tony Markellis, drummer Russ Lawton, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and percussionist Cyro Baptista during the first “The Beacon Jams” livestream concert on October 9, 2020.
“If I Could See The World” was written and recorded by Trey while self-quarantining at his New York City apartment in the early months of the pandemic. Anastasio initally shared the song via an Instagram video featuring his cat, Joey. “If I Could See The World” was included on Lonely Trip, an album compiling 15 tracks from the same time period that the guitarist released last July.
Anastasio and assorted musicians presented eight “The Beacon Jams” concerts from The Beacon Theatre in New York City each Friday between October 9 – November 27, 2020. The premiere of “If I Could See The World” came towards the middle of the October 9th performance. Last week, Trey shared video of “A Wave Of Hope,” another Lonely Trip song played live for the first time on October 9, 2020.
Proceeds from “The Beacon Jams” went towards the Divided Sky Fund. Anastasio established the Divided Sky Fund to help build and operate an addiction rehabilitation center in Vermont.
