Black Pumas Perform “Know You Better” On ‘Kimmel’ [Watch]

78

Black Pumas appeared as the musical guest on Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live where they performed “Know You Better”. Kimmel dedicated the Austin-bred duo of Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada‘s performance to the millions of Texans without power.

“We dedicate this to our friends in Texas, where we hope it warms up soon,” Kimmel said ahead of the band’s appearance.

Recorded in their hometown of Austin, TX, this performance of the track off Black Pumas’ 2019 self-titled debut album provides the heat desperately needed across the Lone Star State. Starting off with one of the band’s already iconic grooves, “Know You Better” is a slow burn as Burton croons while joined by a heavenly choir of backup singers. The smooth, psychedelic soul stylings soon grow more and more heated, however, as the performance comes to a fiery finish.
