COVID-19 continues to force music festivals to cancel, as Groovin The Moo has revealed that their 2021 event will no longer be going ahead.
This is the second time the festival has had to cancel due to the pandemic, after not being able to go ahead with their 2020 event that was set to go forward in April of last year.
“It is with a heavy heart that we need to postpone Groovin the Moo for the second year,” Cattleyard Promotion’s Steve Halpin said in a press statement.
“We’re really going to miss GTM and not being able to spend another year with our crews, artists, team members, suppliers and you!”
Halpin has asked that those who bought tickets to the 2020 festival continue to hold on to their tickets, as they’ll be valid for the 2022 iteration of the event.
However, it’s not all bad news – Cattleyard’s new festival, Fresh Produce, is all set to go ahead across various regional locations throughout winter and spring of this year. The festival was announced at the end of last year, and is being put on with help from the government’s Restart Investment to Sustain And Expand grant.
It’ll be a smaller affair than Groovin The Moo, with a single stage, but it’ll still be hitting the six locations GTM usually hits – Maitland, Wayville, Townsville, Bunbury, Canberra and Bendigo. In addition, Fresh Produce is also set to take Toowoomba and Tasmania’s Glenorchy.
Ticketing information and the lineup for Fresh Produce have yet to be revealed, but view the dates and locations below.
