On December 31, 2020, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit played a New Year’s Eve livestream concert originating from Brooklyn Bowl Nashville. Today, the band released audio of the show via Bandcamp on a day the company waives its revenue share as part of the Bandcamp Friday program.
Jason Isbell, fiddler Amanda Shires, bassist Jimbo Hart, guitarist Sadler Vaden, drummer Chad Gamble and keyboardist Derry deBorja focused on material from their 2020 album, Reunions, at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on the final night of the year. Eight of the 10 tracks from the LP made the setlist.
The 17-song performance saw 2017’s The Nashville Sound represented by “Hope The High Road,” “If We Were Vampires” and “Last Of My Kind,” while the group also worked in “Alabama Pines” from 2011’s Here We Rest. Additionally, Isbell and company played “24 Frames” and the title track off 2015’s Something More Than Free as well as Southeastern cuts “Cover Me Up,” “Super 8” and “Traveling Alone.”
