In December 2020, John Dwyer‘s ever-evolving indie-punk outfit OSEES—also known as Oh Sees, Thee Oh Sees, and many more—aired their Live at Big Sur concert webcast. Recorded at Big Sur, CA’s Henry Miller Library, the entire concert is now available for free on YouTube and streaming platforms thanks to the band’s label, Castleface Records.

The 19-song performance saw the band deliver a number of bust-outs that they hadn’t played in years, including “Opposition” and “Heavy Doctor”–the former hasn’t been performed live since 2010 and the latter not since 2011.

During the show, the band also took the opportunity to offer the live debuts of a number of originals recorded over the years such as “I Can’t Pay You To Disappear”, “Voice In The Mirror”, and “Dead Medic”.

Following OSEES’ initial set of originals, the band returned for a brief set of covers that featured takes on songs by Black FlagFaust, and Liket Lever. After a trio of Black Flag songs—”Jealous Again”, “Nervous Breakdown”, and “Wasted”—the band delivered Liket Lever’s “Levande begravd”, and finally Faust’s “J’ai Mal Aux Dents” to close out the show.
