Last November, Tank and the Bangas released the six-track EP, Friend Goals. The band assembled at Le Petit Theatre in their hometown of New Orleans for a livestream concert to celebrate its release on November 25 and have shared video featuring Friend Goals track “Mr. Insta” from the show.
Friend Goals features guest appearances from Duckwrth, PJ Morton, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Orleans Big, Pell and many others. CHIKA contributed to “Mr. Insta.” Tank & The Bangas tracked most of the EP at friends’ studios in New Orleans and Chicago as well as at multi-instrumentalist Albert Allenback’s home.
Tarriona “Tank” Ball and company gave a theatrical performance at Le Petit Theatre that incorporated costumed dancers. Longtime collaborator Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph joined the band for portions of the show including “Mr. Insta.”
