Maggie Rose celebrated Valentine’s Day last month with a socially-distant performance at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley where she covered the Carole King classic “I Feel The Earth Move”.
The sold-out concert also saw Rose record the first-ever live edition of her new podcast, Salute The Songbird. The episode featured Rose alongside outlaw country singer-songwriter Elizabeth Cook, who performed a few songs before Rose took the stage.
Alongside her backing band Them Vibes, Rose celebrates the 50th anniversary of King’s seminal album, Tapestry. While paying tribute to King, Rose takes the cover in a unique direction as she slows the song down to a crawl. This decreased tempo allowed Rose to emphasize every syllable as a singer and Them Vibes to infuse the song with an electric blues energy.
