Each Thursday this month, Trampled By Turtles premieres new installments of their “Trampled By Thursdays: Live At First Avenue” livestream series at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT through Mandolin. The Minnesota-based string band released official video of “Don’t Look Down” from the set that dropped on Thursday, February 11.
All four specials were filmed at the famed Minneapolis venue. “Trampled By Thursdays: Live At First Avenue” features a different theme each week. The group dedicated last week’s broadcast to a complete performance of their 2012 studio album, Stars And Satellites.
Up first was “Midnight On The Interstate,” the track that opens the LP. From there, Trampled By Turtles worked through the other 10 tracks on Stars And Satellites in the order they appear on the album. The Erik Berry-penned instrumental “Don’t Look Down” is the ninth track on Stars & Satellites and as such was played ninth for the livestream special.
Erik Berry and Ryan Young duel it out on mandolin for TBT’s “Don’t Look Down.” Check out the version from last week’s “Trampled By Thursdays: Live At First Avenue” below:
