Widespread Panic continues to roll out video from their 25th anniversary run. The latest is “You Got Yours” from the band’s February 11, 2011 concert at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia.
The February 11 show was the band’s second of the 25th anniversary celebration. The run included three shows, two in Athens where the band formed in 1986 and a final performance at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on February 14.
“You Got Yours” appears on Panic’s 1997 album Bombs and Butterflies but the band debuted the tune in September 1995. The song has remained a steady staple for WSP save for a four year absence between 2002 and 2006, as per Everyday Companion.
The 25th anniversary version of “You Got Yours” came about halfway through a nearly fully segued second set. The song followed “Blight,” which keyboardist JoJo Hermann tagged with a tease of The Beatles’ “Norwegian Wood” (which can be heard at the end of the video for “Blight”) before heading into the opening organ strains of “You Got Yours.”
