Singer-songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan headed to famed Nashville record store Grimey’s to perform a five-song set. Aaron Lee led his band through material from his recently released studio album, Tasjan! Tasjan! Tasjan!
The East Nashville resident kicks off the resulting video by explaining the huge role independent record stores such as Grimey’s play in the music ecosystem. Tasjan then leads his band through “Feminine Walk” and “Sunday Women” from the album he co-produced with Gregory Lattimer.
Aaron Lee Tasjan goes on to discuss Magnolia Thunderpussy, a record store in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. He notes the importance of Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot to his songwriting and how the album changed the course of his career. It’s then back to Tasjan! Tasjan! Tasjan! for the Tom Petty-esque “Up All Night.” A performance of “Don’t Over Think It” is followed by Aaron Lee talking about his new album before concluding the video with “Computer Love.”
