AEG Live’s The Bowery Presents Announces Weekly Livestream Concert Series Via Twitch

The Bowery Presents, the New York City-based concert promoter owned by AEG Live, has announced a new initiative that will stream weekly virtual performances from its various venues around the city and beyond to be streamed live via Twitch.

Announced on Wednesday, the virtual concerts will begin next month on April 1st. No artist lineup or schedule of planned events was detailed with the announcement.

Since forming in 1994, The Bowery Presents grew into one of New York City’s most popular independent concert promoters. AEG Live purchased a majority stake in the company in 2017. The Bowery Presents either manages or books shows at a number of venues across the city including Terminal 5, Brooklyn Steel, Music Hall of Williamsburg, the now-closed Rough Trade NYCForest Hills Stadium, and until 2017, Bowery Ballroom and Mercury Lounge.

Other venues perated or booked by Bowery Presents outside of New York City include New Jersey’s Asbury Lanes, Philadelphia’s Boot & Saddle and Frankin Music Hall, Providence’s Fête Music Hall, Virginia’s The NorVa, Boston’s Royale, Baltimore’s Rams Head Live!, and New Orleans’ The Civic Theatre to name a few.

Fans can follow the Bowery Presents Twitch channel for upcoming updates and announcements for the first planned virtual concerts when they begin next month.
