Billy Strings Announces One-Off Pod Show At Bonnaroo Farm

95

Billy Strings will make his debut on the Bonnaroo Farm, though probably not in the way he envisioned it. The Grammy-winning bluegrass picker will travel to the annual site of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on May 28th for a one-off pod concert, he announced on Tuesday.

Strings was set to make his debut at Bonnaroo in 2020, however COVID-19 stood in the way. He was one of many artists to participate in the festival’s Virtual ROO-ALITY streaming event back in September, though as any Bonnaroo attendee will tell you, it paled in comparison to the sights, the sounds, and even the smells of the hollowed Farm. Strings previously stated that his three-night run in Mobile, AL 4/9–11 will mark the end of his spring tour, so it appears this Memorial Day Weekend concert could be the beginning of a possible summer tour.

Tickets for Billy Strings at the Bonnaroo Farm on May 28th go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Organizers have stated that camping accommodations are not available on the Farm for this event. This marks the latest pod concert announcement from Bonnaroo Farms, who also plan to host Jon Pardi (5/28) and The Avett Brothers (7/2–4), in addition to Bonnaroo’s planned dates of 9/2–5.
