[Originally published 3/9/21]: Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas (EDC), one of the largest electronic music festivals in North America, is still scheduled to return this spring as planned after a year off in 2020.
Insomniac Events founder/CEO Pasquale Rotella took to his Instagram recently to confirm that EDC Las Vegas is still scheduled for the weekend of May 21st-23rd, 2021. The event is currently sold out and welcomed almost half-a-million attendees in 2019.
“I know a lot of you are looking for an EDCLV update, so yes, we’re continuing to plan EDC Las Vegas & Beyond Wonderland for their scheduled dates,” Rotella said in the comments to one of his Instagram posts published last month. “There continue to be new developments & we’re in constant communication with local officials. If things change, however, we have backup dates in place & I’ll let you know soon.”
Insomniac’s other upcoming event, Abduction 2021 scheduled for April 10th, will require attendees to wear masks on-site and adhere to the venue’s temperature check entry policy. Additionally, Insomniac’s Miami-based III Points festival is also scheduled to return this spring with dates scheduled for April 30th-May 1st.

A COVID-19 waiver of liability posted on the Insomniac website reads, “By entering the venue and/or the event, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.”
The festival update from the electronic music community comes as major concert promoters and venues across the live events industry including New York City’s indoor Madison Square Garden are beginning to welcome fans again heading into the coming spring months.
[UPDATE 3/9/21]: Insomniac has announced an additional event set to take place over Memorial Day Weekend in Orlando, FL.
