Julien Baker teamed with her band last month to record a performance of “Faith Healer” for New York City public radio station WFUV’s Live For WFUV series. WFUV released video featuring Baker and company’s Live For WFUV “Faith Healer” on YouTube.
“Faith Healer” appears on Julien Baker’s recently released Little Oblivions LP. Little Oblivions is Julien’s third studio album and follows 2017’s Turn Out The Lights. Baker played most of the instrumentation on the 12-track record, including guitar and piano.
Julien is featured on vocals and keyboards for the Live For WFUV “Faith Healer” performance. “Put most simply, I think that ‘Faith Healer’ is a song about vices, both the obvious and the more insidious ways that they show up in the human experience,” Baker explained regarding the lead single from Little Oblivions. “I started writing this song 2 years ago and it began as a very literal examination of addiction.”
