Consider the Source surprised fans on Tuesday with a cover of Radiohead‘s “Exit Music (For A Film)”. The band recorded the cover at CCS Studios, where Consider the Source participated in the titular Covert Concert Series back in December.

Taken from the 1997 breakthrough album OK Computer, the cover plays to the instrumental, sci-fi fusion outfit’s strength. The only thing CtS needed, however, was the acoustic guitar that bookends the song. Luckily drummer Jeff Mann is a man of many talents and toggles between acoustic guitar and his drum kit. With lead guitarist Gabriel Marin delivering the song’s eery opening on the fretless neck of his double-necked guitar, it’s remarkable what rich sounds the band can create with just three musicians.

Consider the Source is currently gearing up for a livestream from Ardmore Music Hall on March 6th. The two-set concert will see the band perform for an extremely limited capacity crowd, with attendees gaining access by raffle and silent auction, both of which are now closed. The livestream will air for free on the Ardmore, PA venue’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
