Mimi Naja of Fruition shared a cover of Ani DiFranco‘s “32 Flavors.” Naja was inspired to film herself performing the tune after watching DiFranco’s livestream concert on Sunday night.
“32 Flavors” was written by Ani for inclusion on her 1995 studio album, Not A Pretty Girl. Last night’s livestream concert came in honor of Revolutionary Love, DiFranco’s latest LP.
“I watched Ani DiFranco’s Revolutionary Love (new album) Live Stream last night. I’ve been absorbing that woman’s creations for almost 20 years now,” Naja wrote in a note accompanying her latest #MimiMonday video. “It’s strange to be rendered speechless by such a master of the power of word. Here is a cover of ’32 Flavors’ which came out in 1995. The breadth of her songbook is mindblowing. Enjoy.”
