Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival has announced the artist lineup for the 2021 edition of its long-running, two-weekend event, set to take place in Austin, TX’s Zilker Park on October 1st–3rd and 8th–10th.
The 2021 event, which will celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary, also marks the return of ACL Festival after a pandemic-imposed year off in 2020. While the in-person event was canceled, ACL organizers still offered up some entertainment during the initially scheduled October weekend via the festival’s virtual event, which featured famous sets from years past.
The 2021 ACL Festival lineup is headed by George Strait, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Rüfüs Du Sol, DaBaby, and Erykah Badu, each performing at both weekends of the event.
Other artists set to perform include Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, Black Pumas, Greta Van Fleet, St. Vincent (weekend one), Modest Mouse, Phoebe Bridgers, Jack Harlow, Band of Horses, Jon Pardi, Bleachers, Marc Rebillet, Future Islands, Alison Wonderland, Madeon (weekend two), Chet Faker (weekend one), Jon Batiste (weekend two), Freddie Gibbs, Tierra Wack, Tanya Tucker (weekend one), Moses Sumney, Channel Tres, Omar Apollo, Durand Jones & The Implications (weekend two), and more.
“Music is coming back strong to the Live Music Capital of the World,” said Austin Mayor Steve Adler in a statement. “The return of Austin City Limits as an in-person festival celebrates that our efforts as a community to become vaccinated are working. Health and safety remain our top priority, and we will work closely with the organizers and Austin Public Health to ensure ACL Fest is in line with our health standards. We must continue to get everyone vaccinated and keep up our success.”
The safety of fans, artists and staff remains the top priority of festival organizers, who remain in regular communication with local health and public safety officials and will follow current recommendations and guidelines at the time of the festival.
As the weekends approach, ACL Fest patrons will receive regular updates with important information regarding safety policies and procedures before entering Zilker Park, which will also be shared on the festival’s website, social media, and via the ACL Fest email list.
ACL Fest has also partnered with the City of Austin and Austin Public Health to encourage vaccination in the months prior to the festival. Learn more about getting your free vaccine without an appointment or registration here. If you are coming from out of town, visit Vaccines.gov to find the nearest vaccine provider near you.
“Austin City Limits 2021 is a result of successful vaccine efforts and more than a year’s worth of protection measures,” said Austin-Travis County Interim Health Authority Dr. Mark Escott. “Taking the shot is our shot at getting things back to normal and we envision this happening before October if we stay the course as a community. Thank you to all those who have done their part and took the vaccine and to ACL who will utilize their broad voice to encourage vaccination in the months leading to their monumental event.”
Three-Day GA Tickets for both weekends of ACL Fest 2021 are available today via the festival website. Three-Day GA+ Tickets, 3-Day VIP and Platinum Tickets and Hotel Packages are also available. For full ticketing details, head here.
