Guitarist Cory Wong will bring his Cory & The Wongnotes on the road for a headlining tour of North America in November 2021 and early-2022. Each concert will find Wong performing two sets backed by an 11-piece big band that includes a six-member horn section along with featured vocalist Antwaun Stanley.
The first ever Cory & The Wongnotes tour begins at the Madrid Theater in Kansas City on November 3. Wong then brings the band to Denver, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Portland (Oregon), Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston later in November.
Cory & The Wongnotes resume the tour with Sierra Hull as support on select dates in January and February 2022. The 2022 portion of the run starts at Newport Music Hall in Columbus on January 26. Additional January stops follow in Detroit, Toronto, McKees Rocks (Pennsylvania) and Rochester. In February, the group hits Burlington, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., Charlottesville, Raleigh, Asheville, Atlanta, Nashville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Des Moines, Madison, Chicago and Minneapolis.
Fan presales using the code “WONGNOTES” are powered by Seated and run through tomorrow (Wednesday, May 12) at 10 p.m. local times. Local presales follow on Thursday before tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m. local times.
Wong put the group together for an online variety show last year. The band released their self-titled debut album in February.
