Goose fit a debut cover of Jackson Browne‘s “Doctor, My Eyes” into their Tuesday night concert at Showtime At The Drive-In in Frederick, Maryland. The quintet played a full show last night after Monday’s tour opener at the venue was cut short due to a storm.
“Time To Flee” opened the band’s first of two sets in Frederick. Goose then delivered a seamless run featuring “Echo Of A Rose,” “All I Need” and “Flo Down.” A rare “Honey Bee” without crew member Jon “Coach” Lombardi emerging on rainstick followed.
Next, guitarist Rick Mitarotonda led the group through their first ever “Doctor, My Eyes.” Jackson Browe originally released the song on his self-titled debut studio album in 1972. Goose closed out the frame with “Arcadia.”
Last night’s second set began with a long and well-jammed “Creatures” that bled into “Ocean.” An expansive “Tumble” gave way to “Seekers On The Ridge.” Goose said farewell with “Slow Ready.” Next up for the band is a performance in North Charleston, South Carolina on Thursday night.
