Goose Shares “Arrow” -> “Bob Don” From Tour Opener In Frederick [Watch]

With Goose off the road until June 11th when the band returns to the stage at Northlands in Swanzey, NH, the time has come to reflect. On Thursday, Goose shared pro-shot footage of the band’s tour-opening performance of “Arrow” into “Bob Don” from Showtime At The Drive-In in Frederick, MD on 5/3/21.

The clip captures the first song of the first night of the first leg of Goose’s summer tour. While the 30-minute video highlights some top-shelf playing from the ever-rising quintet, the situation surrounding the concert was anything but ideal. As Goose prepared to open the band’s five-night spring jaunt, torrential downpours, lightning, and even a tornado warning stood in their way. The first of two nights in Frederick ultimately started well over an hour late, leading the band to play a truncated single-set performance, as Showtime was adherent to a 10 p.m. curfew for performances.

Those impediments notwithstanding, Goose played on against the elements and delivered a memorable performance for the brave few who stuck it out in the rain. As standing water reached shin-high levels in the front row and rivers of muddy rainwater roared through the crowd further back, Goose made the best of a bad situation by providing a soundtrack to the rain-soaked affair.
