Herbie Hancock Announces September US Tour 2021

61

Acclaimed jazz musician Herbie Hancock will embark on a U.S. tour this September. The dates mark the return to the stage for Hancock and his band, who have spent nearly two years off the road due to the pandemic. An initial slate includes dates in Texas, Colorado, Montana, Washington, Oregon and California with more to come.

The excursion is currently slated to begin at Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie in Grand Prairie, Texas on September 12. Concerts in Austin on September 13 and San Antonio on September 14 follow before Herbie heads to Colorado for shows in Denver on September 17 and at a venue in Fort Collins to be announced on September 18.

Hancock continues the run at Kettle House Amphitheatre in Bonner, Montana on September 20. The keyboardist and his band are then scheduled to close out the tour with a West Coast swing, including stops in Troutdale (Oregon) on September 22, Napa on September 25 and Los Angeles on September 26.

“It’s time for me to get back out there and do what I love to do,” stated Hancock. “We will be safe and we will be careful, but it’s time to reconnect with our fans, play live music and have some fun after a long period of isolation. It’s time to spread a little joy.” Herbie’s band mates for the tour will be confirmed soon.

Tickets for most shows go on sale to the general public this Thursday, May 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Denver tickets go up for grabs on Friday, May 28 at 10 a.m. MT with Troutdale tickets available starting June 11.
