David Gilmour shared video of Gram Parsons’ “Hickory Wind.” The footage comes from the Pink Floyd guitarist’s 2020 Von Trapped Family livestream series.
Although “Hickory Wind” is widely considered legendary singer-songwriter Gram Parson’s signature song, he penned the tune with Bob Buchanan and it appeared on The Byrds landmark 1968 album, Sweetheart Of The Rodeo, when Gram was a member of the band. Gilmour delivered his solo acoustic rendition of “Hickory Wind” on the April 23, 2020 edition of Von Trapped Family.
