After an unfortunate but justified year off, Sydney’s Vivid LIVE festival is set to make its return in 2021 and they’re bringing with them an absolutely colossal lineup.
We already knew Sampa The Great would be debuting her ‘An Afro Future’ at the event, but now we know the full extent of acts that will be playing the event.
Artist management and touring company Astral People will be celebrating their 10th birthday across Thursday, 19th and Friday, 20th August, with an all-star lineup. Hiatus Kaiyote, Genesis Owusu, Cosmo’s Midnight, Cashmere Cat and more will all be playing as part of the event.
Golden Features and Hermitude will be linking up for a special performance, while Angie McMahon will be returning to Sydney to offer what’s sure to be a stunning solo piano performance.
Your fave drummer G Flip will also be performing as part of the festival, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will be taking over Carriageworks for a huge five night residency.
There’ll also be performances from Georgia Maq, Miiesha, Budjerah, Gordi, Methyl Ethel and more.
Tickets for Vivid LIVE 2021 events go on sale this Friday at 9am AEST, so get your calendars ready. In a year where we’ve been starved of live music, this event has enough to keep us energised for months to come.
