Billy & The Kids will team with guitarist Billy Strings and saxophonist James Casey for a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on Tuesday, July 13. The show dubbed “Dead On The Rocks” comes after the band first teamed with Strings and Casey for the “Grateful Mahalo: Billy Kreutzmann’s 75th Birthday Pa’ina” livestream concerts last month.
Grateful Dead/Dead & Company drummer Bill Kreutzmann first assembled Billy & The Kids in 2014 and the quartet last played in front of a live, in-person audience back in 2016. Kreutzmann is joined in the band by keyboardist Aron Magner, guitarist Tom Hamilton and bassist Reed Mathis.
“Grateful Mahalo: Billy Kreutzmann’s 75th Birthday Pa’ina” featured three shows recorded in Kauai, Hawaii that aired May 7 – 9. Both Strings and Casey played as part of all three livestream concert specials with Carlos Santana guesting as part of the finale.
Tickets for Dead On The Rocks go on sale to the general public this Wednesday, June 16 at 10 a.m. MT via AXS.com.
