Bruce Springsteen & The Killers Share Collaborative ‘Dustland’ Single

Renowed musician Bruce Springsteen and acclaimed rockers The Killers unveiled their first collaborative single, “Dustland,” along with a performance video. The song is a remake of “A Dustland Fairytale” from Killers’ 2008 album, Day & Age.

Killers frontman Brandon Flowers shared a note explaining the genesis of the collaboration. Flowers received a text from Springsteen while at JFK Airport in New York City just weeks before the pandemic began. The Boss wrote glowingly of the band’s Glastonbury set and added, “We gotta do Dustland one day.” Brandon couldn’t believe his eyes at first but soon realized the text truly did come from Bruce Springsteen. The pandemic began soon after Springsteen’s initial communique. However, Bruce and The Killers went on to record the collaboration remotely and today unveiled the finished product.
