Mandolinist, singer and songwriter Chris Thile announced a fall tour in support of his recently released Laysongs album. Thile will hit the road for the Laysongs Fall Tour this October and November.
The California native begins the excursion at Brown County Music Center in Nashville, Indiana on October 3. Chris then brings the tour to Cincinnati; Flint, Michigan; Skokie, Illinois; Lexington, Massachusetts; Rockport, Massachusetts; Waterville, Maine; Troy, New York and Tarrytown, New York later in October.
Thile resumes the tour at the Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, South Carolina on November 18. He then is currently scheduled to conclude the jaunt with shows in Durham, North Carolina on November 21; Atlanta on November 22 and Rocky Mount, Virginia on November 23.
Tickets for all shows except Rockport, Charleston and Durham go on sale this Friday at 12 p.m. ET. Rockport tickets are on sale now with details for the Charleston and Durham on-sales forthcoming. The nine-track Laysongs — which is a true solo album featuring just Chris’ voice and mandolin playing — arrived last Friday, June 4 through Nonesuch Records.
