Greensky Bluegrass released Leap Year Sessions: Volume Four today. The live collection documents the quintet’s final two Leap Year Sessions livestream performances from The Pageant in St. Louis which aired in early Fall 2020.

Greensky Bluegrass has been rolling out audio of their Leap Year Sessions performances over the past few months. Volume One kicked off the live series in March when JamBase was pleased to preview the compilation with the premiere of “Windshield.” Volumes Two and Three arrived in the subsequent months.

Leap Year Sessions: Volume Four begins with GSBG’s penultimate Leap Year Session broadcast on September 18, 2020. The set got underway with “Before Bring Out Your Dead” and “Bring Out Your Dead” and also included a stellar trio of tunes in “Like Reflections,” “Burn Them” and “Old Barns.” “Hold On” would kick off a show-closing section that saw the band toggling between “Tarpology” and “One Slip.”

Greensky’s final Leap Yeat Session aired on September 25 and began with “What You Need” from the band’s 2019 album All For Money. The set also featured additional favorites like “Past My Prime” as well as the livestream series’ titular number, “Leap Year,” which encompassed a Jimi Hendrix classic to close out the set. Greensky would fittingly conclude the Leap Year Sessions with “Drink Up And Go Home.”
