Jackson Browne Performs ‘My Cleveland Heart’ On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

69

Jackson Browne was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday. The legendary singer-songwriter performed “My Cleveland Heart” from his forthcoming album, Downhill From Everywhere, due out on July 23 via Browne’s Inside Recordings.

Jackson Browne previewed Downhill From Everywhere, his first album since 2014’s Standing In The Breach, back in April 2020 with the title track. The singer-songwriter released “My Cleveland Heart” – inspired by a facility in Cleveland that produces artificial hearts, as per Rolling Stone – in May along with a music video that saw a cameo from Phoebe Bridgers.

Browne penned “My Cleveland Heart” with longtime collaborator and guitarist Val McCallum. Additionally, both the studio version and Kimmel performance of the tune feature the lap steel stylings of Greg Leisz.
