Lettuce Plots Two-Night Colorado Blowout At Dillon Amphitheater Ft. Flamingosis, Cory Henry, Judith Hill

Grammy-nominated funk-fusion sextet Lettuce will circle the country throughout the second half of 2021 as part of a 41-date tour under the billing (and mission statement), Bring Back The Love.

To kick off the campaign, Lettuce will head to the scenic mountain town of Dillon, CO—located less than 90 minutes’ drive from Denver—for a two-night run at Dillon Amphitheater on July 2nd and 3rd featuring a slew of funky supporting artists.

On Friday, July 2nd, the evening will begin with Flamingosis, the party-starting soul/funk/electronic producer who is set to embark on a tour of his own behind sunny new album, Daymaker.

On Saturday, July 3rd, Lettuce fans at Dillon Amphitheater will bear witness to opening performances by two of the funkiest artists in today’s music scene, Cory Henry and Judith Hill.

Henry, who began his music career as a child church organist, has become a force in the jazz and funk worlds, logging Grammy-winning keyboard work with Snarky Puppy and sharing the stage with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Michael McDonald, The Roots, Boys II Men, and more, in addition to his own Funk Apostles.

Hill, meanwhile, is a more recent arrival—though no less impressive to watch. The soulful California rocker, who tours with a “family band” that also features her mother on keys and her father on bass, will spend her summer traveling the U.S. in support of her new album Baby, I’m Hollywood before heading off on a European tour in October.

For Lettuce, the Dillon Amphitheater run will serve as a sort of “second” return to Colorado. The last time the far-reaching funk outfit performed live in Colorado, the band played a livestream run featuring limited-capacity, socially distant, masked audiences at Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom. All the dressings of the COVID-era concert experience notwithstanding, the two-night, four-show February 2021 run marked an emotional milestone: it was the first time Lettuce had performed for fans since packing in an ongoing European tour and racing home before travel restrictions set in back in March of 2020, almost a year prior.

As vaccine rollouts continue, transmission numbers drop, and the live music industry begins to return to some semblance of normalcy, the two-night run at the 3,000-capacity Dillon Amphitheater will bring the Lett/Colorado reunion full-circle. With the Cervantes’ shows, Lettuce brought back the music. With the Dillon blowout, Lettuce will bring back the adoring Colorado audience—and the palpable love that comes with it.
