The nationwide tour will begin on June 11th and 12th at Music For The Mind Fest in Wappapello, MO and zig-zag around the country throughout the remainder of the summer and fall before wrapping up in Chicago, IL on December 18th.
Have A Seat, Rose’s third full-length LP, was produced by Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. In a series of pre-pandemic sessions, Rose recorded the album live with a lineup of heavy-hitters that includes bassist David Hood of the Swampers (the group of session musicians who played on records from legends like Aretha Franklin and Etta James) and guitarist Will McFarlane (Bonnie Raitt, Levon Helm), along with her longtime bandmates/collaborators Larry Florman (background vocals/percussion), Alex Haddad (guitars), and Sarah Tomek (drums) of Them Vibes. The album also features a guest appearance by Marcus King. Pre-order your copy here.
Tickets for the newly announced Maggie Rose Have A Seat 2021 tour dates go on sale this Friday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. ET. For ticketing details and more information, head to Maggie’s website here.
Maggie Rose is also in the process of releasing a music video “trilogy” in the leadup to Have A Seat‘s release on August 20th. So far, Rose has shared the first two installments, “What Are We Fighting For” and “Have A Seat“.
