Michael Franti & Spearhead announced their Good Day For A Good Day World Tour. The excursion gets underway in the U.S. later this summer and will extend into Winter 2022 with a European run.
Fresh on the heels of performing at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre for their first in-person shows since the pandemic sidelined live music, Franti and Spearhead are excited to get back on the road.
“After an emotional weekend playing our first shows back since the pandemic began, the wait is finally over!” Franti said in a statement. “We are kicking off our Good Day For A Good Day World Tour this August with over 20 U.S. dates – some old, some moved – our Soulshine at Sea Cruise this November and 13 dates overseas in 2022. My heart is full. I’m energized and ready to hit the road again!”
Franti and company get the Good Day For A Good Day World Tour underway at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo, North Carolina on August 18 before traversing the Eastern Seaboard with stops in New York State and Connecticut ahead of a two night stand in Ocean City, Maryland August 25 and 26. After a play in Asheville and a return to New York State, the tour will hit western markets in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and California with the U.S. leg of the tour proper wrapping up in San Diego on September 20.
Michael Franti and Spearhead will then host their first-ever cruise event, in partnership with Sixthman, dubbed Soulshine at Sea, embarking from Miami and running from November 3 through the 7. Soulshne at Sea will also feature performances by Fitz and The Tantrums, Allen Stone, Niko Moon and more.
“We are stoked to be announcing the lineup for Soulshine at Sea because we believe in the power of music; the connection of community; taking time to focus on health and wellness; and that in these challenging times, it’s important to have fun and rock out too.” Franti said of Soulshine At Sea.
The Good Day For A Good Day World will wrap up with a run through Europe in early 2022 kicking off in Amsterdam on January 27 and including stops in Brussels, Berlin, Milan, Paris and Glasgow among others. The European leg will conclude in London on February 11.
