Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen played together on television for the first time on Tuesday when they appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The duo was backed by a full band for the debut television performance of their collaborative single “Like I Used To.”
Van Etten, Olsen, guitarist Nicole Lawrence, bassist Emily Elhaj, keyboardist Charley Damski and drummers Rhys Hastings and Griffin Goldsmith filmed the take on “Like I Used To” that aired on Fallon at Los Angeles venue Zebulon. The pair released the John Congleton-produced single on May 20.
Both Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen currently have just two festival appearances confirmed as the only shows on their respective touring schedules. Van Etten will play Ohana and Outside Lands, while Olsen will perform at Pitchfork and Outside Lands.
