The Hold Steady Performs ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

73

The Hold Steady delivered an NPR Music Tiny Desk (Home) Concert from Brooklyn Bowl in the rockers’ native New York City. The band led by Craig Finn performed songs from their 2021 album, Open Door Policy, which arrived in February.

Intimately tucked into a nook backstage at Brooklyn Bowl, Finn led the band through Open Door Policy’s second single “Heavy Covenant” to kick off the session. The group also performed deeper cuts “Unpleasant Breakfast” and “Riptown.” The Hold Steady closed out their Tiny Desk with Open Door Policy digital bonus track “Parade Days.”
