Unknown Mortal Orchestra shared a new song, “Weekend Run,” via Jagjaguwar. The song marks the Ruban Nielson-led outfit’s first new music since 2018.
UMO released two albums in 2018. Sex & Food arrived in April while IC-01 Hanoi, an instrumental album taken from the Sex & Food sessions, came later that year. UMO is back with “Weekend Run,” which Nielson in a press release.
“At the end of the day I don’t take for granted that I have the perfect job,” he said. “I truly work to make music that will set someone’s day right and I think that shines through on ‘Weekend Run.’”
