Charlie Parr performed a session for Minnesota Public Radio station The Current’s LineCheck series. The singer-songwriter and guitarist delivered songs from his upcoming album Last Of The Better Days Ahead, set for release on July 30 via Smithsonian Folkways.
Minnesota native Charlie Parr filmed his LineCheck session — part of Episode 1 in the series titled “Minnesota’s Musical Ecosystem” — at the Sacred Heart Music Center in Duluth, Minnesota. Parr opened up with “817 Oakland Avenue,” the latest single off Last Of The Better Days Ahead, on his acoustic 12-string guitar. Charlie then picked up his 6-string resonator guitar for the album’s title track to close out the session.
