The Marcus King Trio performed a cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s “Sin’s A Good Man’s Brother” live at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville. Carter Vintage Guitars shared the resulting version on the store’s YouTube channel.

Guitarist Marcus King is backed in The Marcus King Trio by drummer Jack Ryan and bassist Stephen Campbell. King, Ryan and Campbell will soon gather with the rest of The Marcus King Band for a series of festival appearances and support slots later this summer. The MKB’s fall tour features a mix of headlining dates and shows opening for Chris Stapleton.

Marcus utilized a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard while Stephen played a 1954 Fender Precision Bass for the trio’s “Sin’s A Good Man’s Brother” performance. Grand Funk Railroad released the original on their Closer To Home album in 1970. Mark Farmer penned “Sin’s A Good Man’s Brother.”
