A director’s cut of the Rush concert film Rush: Cinema Strangiato will be screened at select theaters nationwide on September 9. Rush: Cinema Strangiato – Director’s Cut adds bonus tracks “One Little Victory,” “Red Barchetta” and “Cygnus X-1″/”The Story Of Far” to the original 2019 movie.

Rush: Cinema Strangiato – Director’s Cut was filmed during and includes highlights from Rush’s 2015 R40 Live tour as well as backstage and soundcheck footage. Additionally, the movie features interviews with Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, Taylor Hawkins, producer Nick Raskulinecz, The Trailer Park Boys, violinist Jonathan Dinklage “and more surprises.” Rush — consisting of bassist Geddy Lee, drummer Neil Peart and guitarist Alex Lifeson — ended their legendary career following the R40 Live tour. Peart died from brain cancer on January 7, 2020.
