Blues Traveler‘s tour bus crashed on Thursday morning in Minnesota as the group was on the way to Rochester, Minnesota for a show with JJ Grey & Mofro on Friday night. The good news is that the members of the band are okay.
“This morning our tour bus went off the road and crossed the median,” stated Blues Traveler in an announcement on the band’s social feeds. “Thankfully we are all safe and have only sustained minor injuries. Our sincere gratitude to the Winona MN, Police Department and Rescue Crew for their help getting us safely off the highway and out of oncoming traffic.”
Blues Traveler frontman John Popper took to his own social feeds just after the accident to share his experience. “Bus just crashed!! Dunno what’s going on everything hurts…i think we’re stuck on the bus we’re all going to get checked but we’re still trying (sp) to get fucking door open…more later,” Popper wrote. “Getting tests at the ER…all looking good…my blood sugar is ridiculously high,” the harmonica player/vocalist added a few hours later.
There is no word yet on whether Friday’s concert will go on as planned.
