David Ferguson’s credits include collaborations with Johnny Cash, John Prine and Sturgill Simpson. The producer steps into the spotlight as a performer on Nashville No More, an album he produced himself. Contributors besides Price include acclaimed bluegrass artists Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Béla Fleck and Tim O’Brien as well as ace Nashville-based studio musicians Russ Pahl on pedal steel, keyboardist Mike Rojas and bassists Mike Bub and Dave Roe, among others.

Roger Cook co-wrote “Chardonnay” with Hugh Cornwell. The song was first recorded by Brit Cerys Matthews for 2003’s Cockahoop. “‘Chardonnay was there to comfort me during the recording of this record,” said Ferguson in a statement. “I’m forever thankful to Roger Cook for having the good sense to write a beautiful love song to a glass of wine.”
