Flamingosis is gearing up for his hotly anticipated Daymaker Tour this fall, and on Wednesday announced an exciting addition with nightly Super Smash Bros. tournaments at the shows. The tour in support of the producer’s debut studio album is set to begin on September 16th at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA.
Flamingosis, born Aaron Velasquez, will take on six members of the audience prior to each evening’s performance. Additionally, each match will be livestreamed via Twitch and projected from the stage. The participants will compete with Flamingosis in two qualifying rounds, followed by a final elimination round. The winner will receive a Daymaker signed vinyl, with the runner-up going home with a t-shirt or similarly priced merch item. The tournament will begin 30 minutes after doors open and last approximately 30 minutes.

The producer is not to be trifled with in the Nintendo arena, as he hosted a similar Super Smash tournament on Twitch ahead of Daymaker‘s release. Just like the pre-show tournaments, the Daymaker release round robin was all in good fun as fans competed against the artist for a chance to hear the LP ahead of its official late July release date.
Fans can sign up for a chance to compete against Flamingosis in a Super Smash Bros. tournament using this form on his website. Flamingosis has also announced his opening support for the Daymaker Tour, which will include Ian Ewing, The Kount, and Pure Colors on select dates.
