Foo Fighters & Violet Grohl Cover X’s ‘Nausea’ At Lollapalooza

69

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl brought out his daughter Violet Grohl to sing a cover of “Nausea” by X yesterday at Lollapalooza. Foo Fighters were Sunday’s headliners at Grant Park in Chicago.

The band’s set largely stayed true to previous shows on their tour in support of their latest studio album, Medicine At Midnight. Toward the end of the performance, Dave Grohl led a rendition of “Happy Birthday To You” in honor of his daughter Ophelia who was in attendance and celebrating her 7th birthday. He then welcomed Violet to the Lolla stage to provide vocals on “Nausea.”

Earlier this year, Violet and Dave recorded a studio version of “Nausea” for the latter’s What Drives Us documentary. They also performed the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live with the elder Grohl’s former Nirvana band mate Krist Novoselic.

Lollapalooza drew an estimated 100,000+ people on each of the four days of the festival. Sunday’s lineup was altered when organizers dropped DaBaby following his homophobic remarks. Young Thug, BROCKHAMPTON, Modest Mouse, Brittany Howard and Band of Horses were among the other acts who performed at Lollapalooza on Sunday.
